‘Everything From Last Night’ – by The Great Leslie is out now!

The Great Leslie are a London-based indie/alternative rock outfit originally formed in June 2020. Made up of Ollie Trevers on Vocals/Rhythm Guitar, Julien Baraness on Lead Guitar, Jason Boyd on Bass and Ryan Lavender on Drums. In their short tenure they have already had two tracks crowned as BBC Introducing’s ‘Track of The Week’, not to mention support from Janice Long on BBC Wales and repeated airplay on Amazing Radio and XS Manchester. The band’s previous release, ‘That’s Alright’, has also been played on Kerrang! Radio and this single as already been played on Radio X by John Kennedy.

With this string of successes, the band are poised to release their summer anthem ‘Everything from Last Night’; a foot tapping dose of high energy indie rock that talks about holidays in the sunshine, drinking too much and trying to piece together the night before with the pictures from your camera roll. The track itself transports you back to sunny holidays and helps you remember a time when travel was easy. Another song to add to the band’s catalogue that showcases the range and variation of their developing sound.

This single is yet another sterling example of The Great Leslie’s penchant for catchy riffs, solid hooks and incredible vocal melodies all backed up with drumbeats that don’t quit. As always, at the centre of the single is the band’s drive to get you up and dancing, with a song that makes you think the likes of Circa Waves, Two Door Cinema Club and Nothing but Thieves have come together to create something truly unique but somehow recognisable.

Of the single, Ollie says “‘Everything from Last Night’ is all about my holidays with my brother in Mexico. I wrote it with summer in mind, as I wanted to create a conduit between the audience and their happy memories of a carefree existence, particularly as a carefree existence is the antithesis of everything we have experienced over this past year or so. It talks about holiday romances, drinking and partying too much. It’s born of happiness and joy, which are feelings I very rarely focus on when writing.

The rhythm of the song changed once we worked on it together as a band, but the feel of the tune remained consistent throughout the development process. Playing the song with the band really brought it to life and put a far rockier spin on it, pushing the indie aspects of our sound to the forefront.”

‘Everything from Last Night’ is out today on all digital music platforms.
